Introduction to Programming through Video Games

Dive into the world of video game design and programming with this hands-on course! Explore game genres, master programming languages, and use cutting-edge game engines to bring your creative visions to life. Learn about the psychology of gaming, user experience design, and the technology behind modern entertainment. By the end of the course, you'll be able to conceptualize, design, program, and showcase your video game projects. Join us to turn your game ideas into reality!

 

Video Game Design and Programming 2

This class focuses on creating video games from concept to completion. Through project management, market research, multimedia design, video game programming, and music composition, students will develop the skills necessary to bring their game ideas to life. Emphasis will be placed on teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication.

 

Honors Programming

In this course, you’ll learn Python by making fun drawings and animations! You’ll start with basics like shapes and colors, and then move on to using mouse and keyboard controls. Get hands-on with loops, random values, and lists to create cool projects. As you go along, you’ll explore more complex ideas like 2D lists and game development. Your final project will let you combine everything you’ve learned with images and sounds. It’s a creative way to dive into coding with Python!

 

AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A

The AP Computer Science A course provides a deep dive into computer science fundamentals, focusing on programming and problem-solving. Students will learn Java programming through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, covering topics such as data types, control structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithms. The course emphasizes critical thinking, algorithm design, and effective problem-solving strategies. MultiMedia

Students will learn to build websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
