Trooper Knudsen of the PA State Police CARS shares skills with Forensic Science Classes

On May 7, Trooper Glen Knudsen of the PA State Police CARS (Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialist) unit came to share some of the skills used in his field with the Forensic Science classes. Students learned about the tools and techniques used for indoor and outdoor crime scene mapping, as well as accident scene reconstruction. This included a demonstration of the use of a laser scanner to create a digital map of the classroom. They also learned about the variety of positions within the PA State Police. Students appreciated the chance to see the application of what we were learning about in class!
